Lisa Campos /// Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics /// Northern Arizona University (DI)

Lisa Campos was named the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics at Northern Arizona University in 2012. In her second year at NAU, the department unveiled a new brand identity and completed a master facilities plan.

Athletically, NAU captured the Big Sky Men’s and Women’s All-Sports Trophy. Football had a sell-out for the first time since 1997 and appeared in the NCAA FCS Play-off game for the first time since 2003. NAU captured six conference championships. Academically, the department achieved an 82% Graduation Success Rate while the student-athletes completed 4,375 community service hours.

Campos took over the leadership of the Lumberjack Athletics department after serving as the Senior Associate Athletic Director at the University of Texas at El Paso since August of 2006. Campos served as the sport administrator for the Miner men's and women's cross country, women's soccer, women's volleyball, women's basketball, and men's and women's track and field programs at UTEP. Campos also was the primary administrator for compliance, CHAMPS/Life Skills, strength and conditioning, sports medicine, and cheerleading.

Dr. Campos had the opportunity to serve on a number of NCAA Committees, including the NCAA Division I Championships/Competition Cabinet, the NCAA Rifle Committee, and chaired the NCAA Women's Soccer Committee. She was a member of the Conference USA Joint Group and served on the Senior Woman Administrator administrative group. In 2005-2006, when UTEP joined Conference USA, she served on the Conference USA Strategic Planning Committee and assisted in the development of the realigned Conference USA's vision, core values, mission, and strategic objectives. She also represented UTEP on conference committees, including the budget subcommittee, legislative committee, championships selection committee, and various sport committees.

Dr. Campos holds a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at El Paso. She graduated from Colorado State University where she earned a bachelor's of science degree in Business Administration and a master's of science degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education.
